The logical choice for most Street Triple owners.

Continental entered the motorcycle market approximately 2 years ago and whilst not as well known as say Michellin, Pirelli or Dunlop - don't write them off just because they are new ! ... they represent fantastic value for money - the Sports version was used as the control tyre for the BMW Boxer Cup (Race Series) and more recently for the KTM Cup - I did 4000 miles, on a ZX10R in a week at lunatic speeds during the 2006 Cannonball Bike run shod with a set of Road Attacks and now swear by them! ... we think they are really good tyres at a very reasonable price and have currently have a set of Sport Attacks fitted to our own Street Triple.
Which one for you ?
Firstly all three types offer good grip in all conditions but obviously they differ in terms of emphasis - the Road Attack is a good all round tyre for people doing big miles and requiring a tyre that will last. Don't be put off by the fact that they are built to last, the grip in both wet and dry conditions is still excellent however this is obviously not the choice for someone spending most of their time on the race circuit - you should look at the Sport Attack or for extreme riding styles you can consider the Race Attacks.
Read below for more information on these superb tyres ..
The ContiRoad Attack – Sports Touring:

"...pitched head to head against Bridgestone 020s, Metzeler Roadtec Z6 and Michelin Pilot Road... Conti claims it offers enough grip to satisfy the demands of 'proper' performance bike riders... fast unplanned direction changes on unfamiliar mountain switchbacks proved drama free... the following day on Conti's handling circuit the Road Attacks were superb... warm up time was minimal, grip superb and stability and precision of turn-in excellent... riding a Daytona 600 I almost forgot the Road Attacks were a sports touring tyre... on the wet handling circuit the Road Attack shod Fazer 1000 was superb with the front generating a huge amount of grip and the rear having to be ham fistedly abused with the throttle in order to get it to spin up... one other factor to tempt buyers: its price, you're looking at £150 per pair."

"...the Road Attack tyre benefits from a 12% larger footprint than its closest competitor which reduces stress on the tyre meaning a softer compound can be used... In my Yamaha report I complained about the bike's lack of surefootedness, and attributed that vagueness to its D252 tyres. Thankfully this point was quickly confirmed by the noticeably more grip and feedback the Contis provided, a factor that improved the machine considerably... The 20minute track session pushed the tyres to their performance limit and although the race track is not what these tyres have been designed for it was good to get them up to serious temperatures... again they responded well, very well when you consider they are sports-touring tyres... they do everything you could possibly ask of them, and do it well... what's even more encouraging is the super competitive pricing... if Continental isn't the name you might instantly think of when you're in the market for some new sports-touring rubber, maybe it's time that it is"
